    • Comparison Between Neware BTS 9000 and Vendor M's ...
    • Neware strarted to design its six-generation testing system BTS 9000 in 2011, and introduced into the market in 2014. It is Neware's state-of-the-art product series, making Neware more competitive in the international battery testing market. You may find most information from our product page, while below comparison will tell more stories. The counterpart of this comparison, Vendor M's tester, is applied under most battery testing scenarios, like material research, tests have a ultimate low current requirement, fast pulse tests and etc. Since vendor M's tester requires the hosting computer to perform the most computing works, it will hog more computer resources when too many channels connected or quick data acquisition required. While Neware's embedded system could do the computing and with its file system on board, data is well protected We use an Angilent oscilloscope to capture the rapid pulse test output. Considering BTS 9000 is not capable of outputting a pulse with a width lower than 400us and Vendor M requires the first pulse width larger than 2ms. Below pulse regimes are applied Pulse Width Note: Tester from Vendor M outputs about 150us against 100us setting. The right comes from Vendor M.     • GSM Test for Phone Batteries
    • There is a unique power requirement from the phone battery when you make a phone call. This power regime is then transmitted into electromagnetic wave containing the voice information. Below power output waveform was captured while a phone call was making. When you scale it, you can see the period clearly. As you can see there is a transient large power requirement in every pulse. This makes your conventional phone battery cycle life test regime out of date. When you have GSM pulse discharge applied, the data will be totaly different. We will have below communication test regimes for the phone batteries. Neware's , characterized fast repose and high data acquisition frequency, makes it perfect for GSM and other communication pulse tests for phone batteries.

    • Why BTS 4000 for DCR Test
    • DCR test is usually done in short time. So the equipment’s capability is critical to the testing result. The equipment needs to respond quickly. Additionally, the voltage value at the very end of each period is required for an accurate DCR measurement. The current output accuracy and voltage measurement accuracy are basic requirements. BTS 4000 features below advantages to qualify a DCR test * Response Time. BTS 4000 responses set current in less than 10 ms (millisecond). * Timing Control. BTS 4000 has a time accuracy of 1ms (millisecond). * Data Acquisition Frequency. BTS 4000 has a conventional 10Hz data acquisition frequency, and 100Hz optional. A repeated pulse test is performed to calculate DCR value. Corresponding charging pulses are followed to maintain the batteries at the same SOC level.
